Founded by a pair of lifelong baseball fans and inaugural Nationals' season ticket holders, NationalsPride.com hopes to contribute to the creation of a strong fan community.

Ian Koski
ian@nationalspride.com
Born and raised in New York's Hudson Valley, this former better-than-good-but-not-great Little Leaguer long ago hung up his plastic spikes, but never his love of the game. After nine years as a reporter covering amateur, collegiate and professional sports teams including the Mets, Phillies, 76ers, Eagles, and Villanova Wildcats, grad school and new career brought him to Washington.
Now working as a senior strategist with interactive communications firm Blue State Digital, Ian has 12 years of experience spanning journalism, graphic design, web development, event marketing, media relations, and policy advocacy.
Ian holds a bachelor's degree in communication from Villanova University in Philadelphia and a master's degree in political management from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He resides in Arlington, Virginia.
Mike Kanick
mike@nationalspride.com
Mike grew up in the cloud-covered basin that is Binghamton, NY and is no stranger to waiting for baseball to arrive. As a youngster he patiently waited for the AA Binghamton Mets to arrive, and after moving to DC patiently (or not patiently, as some will relate) waited (and is still waiting) for MLB (and the city council) to come to their collective senses.
Since moving to DC, Mike has maintained his “since the womb” Yankees allegiance, but follows his new “hometown” team with rabid interest, since he still feels new to the whole “in a city with major sports” thing. Mike also can be found wearing an old Yankee hat or a semi-new Nationals hat.
Mike has earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from SUNY Oswego and a Master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He currently works as for U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio and resides in Alexandria, VA.
Mike is in no way qualified to give you fantasy baseball advice and has no true basis to give you baseball insights, despite his avid TV baseball watching and playing of MVP baseball 2005 on his Xbox.
Jeff Bergin
jeff@nationalspride.com
Jeff currently resides in Arlington County, Virginia and is an avid follower of his newly acquired hometown team. Like any child of the 80’s, there is a great appreciation for the baseball of Don Mattingly, Wally Joyner, Will Clark, and the countless other veterans who will never make the Hall of Fame.
