Talk about inevitable. Could Don Sutton soon give up his gig as the Nationals' television color man to return to Atlanta as part of the Braves' radio team?

That's the word from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Braves' team web site, which both today reported Atlanta's interest in bringing Sutton back to the team whose games he called for 18 years.

"The Braves had planned a news conference for Thursday to introduce the new radio-broadcast team," the AJC reported. "However that was postponed after difficulties arose getting Sutton out of his current contract."

Sutton has two years left on his deal with MASN and the Nationals.

Should the move to Atlanta go through, look for Ray Knight to take over color duties alongside Bob Carpenter.
