Report: Obama will throw first pitch at Nats Park

Quoting unnamed sources inside the ballclub, the Times' Ben Goessling is reporting today that President Barack Obama has accepted the team's offer to throw out the first pitch at Nationals Park this season.

The Nationals host the World Series Champion Phillies in the home opener on April 13.

Then-President George W. Bush threw out the first pitch back in 2005 when the Nationals first moved to Washington and in 2008 when they opened Nationals Park. Then-Vice President Dick Cheney threw out the first pitch at RFK in 2007.
