I can't take the "Defining Moments" commercials anymore

I've been holding off on this rant for a while, since I try to be nice to MASN as they try to get going, but I cannot take it anymore.

I come back from a nice weekend away and settle in to catch the Nats - D-Backs game yesterday, and I just get blasted with commercials... but not any commercials - the bastard, awful, terrible "Defining Moments" commercials.

Listen, I'm all for promoting the team, but damn!  They are just bad.  I mean, first off, I'm already watching MASN, so why should I watch a commercial telling me to tune into MASN?  Secondly, could they be any worse?  I mean, Miss Chatter's isn't bad, since she makes fun of the tomahawk chop, but the rest are just plain awful.

This dude just looks like he stepped out of a video game.  Super Mario.  Who?  Super Mario!   This guy apparently can't grasp that yes, the Mets got knocked out of first, but all the Nats did is help the Phillies.  This is a good thing? And with my least favorite - it almost feels like Screech Dude spends a lot of time talking to himself anyways.

OK, OK, they're not all bad, - I can deal with Walk-Off-Walk Man, but Haiku?  For a guy in AAA?

Listen, I understand that they want to involve the fans, and that maybe this was a cheap alternative to the norm.  But the Nats have an ownership stake in the network, so how hard would it have been to get a half day of Ryan Zimmerman's time before spring training?  I know Adam Dunn came to the team late, but you couldn't grab him for 2 hours one afternoon?  It's gotten to the point where I change the channel just because I see the commercial coming.

I could make this a global rant, and keep going, but I'll limit myself to just the commercials.  I'm sure my wife would attest - don't get me started on the lack of every game in HD, or something resembling full time programming...
