Letters to the Editor

Share your opinions with other NationalsPride readers

Newspapers publish letters to the editor to give their readers a voice in the news. On a web site like NationalsPride, sure, you could comment on one of our columnists' blog posts, but what if no one's writing on the topic you're fired up about?

For you, we've introduced our own letters to the editor section.

We figure it can be used one of three ways:

  1. To publish an isolated blog post without having to create your own web site
  2. To ask our writers a question for them to respond to in a blog post of their own
  3. To submit a private message to our editors

That said, here are a few things it cannot be used for:

  1. Marketing a product, service, or other blog
  2. Unfairly attacking someone, be it a player, team official, or other blogger
  3. Spreading rumors or making otherwise unfounded claims

In other words, we're not going to let this be abused or misued. We want it to better foster the expression of fans' opinions about the Nationals and baseball.

We will review every letter that comes in and publish the ones we feel make substantive contributions to the dialogue. We reserve the right to refuse publication of any submission (but really hope to not have to use that right).
